Facilitation Series
Facilitation is often broadly used in many settings and it’s critical to understand the different types of facilitation that exist in different contexts. Similarly, some facilitation skills cut across all contexts, but some faciliations skills are specific to the context. Hence, the ability to distinct and apply the correct type of facilitation and facilitation skill makes a substantial amount of difference.
This type of facilitation assumes that the Facilitator is a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Instead of using the chalk and talk approach, Educators use processes to engage learners and deepen understanding by facilitating conversations.
Experiential Learning is the base pedagogy for Camp, FTGP, PAL, Service Learning, VIA and a host of Student Development Experiences. There are key skills to create experiences which promote comprehensive and deeper learning.
